Lake Superior Contracting was formed by The LaSalle Group in 2003 as an in-house, full service construction division to coordinate and manage the design and construction of all new properties developed by LaSalle. The Lake Superior subsidiary was originally developed to spearhead construction of LaSalle’s specially designed Autumn Oaks and Autumn Leaves independent and assisted living residences. Currently, John Barbee, VP of Construction, is the company’s uniquely qualified leader, and brings with him over 23 years of experience and specialization in both commercial and high-end residential construction projects, ensuring the company’s seasoned team of professionals expertly manage LaSalle’s construction projects, building to them to the highest standards of quality.

The LaSalle Group has found Lake Superior Contracting to be an invaluable partner, ensuring professionalism and integrity throughout all business practices as well as delivering high quality construction while controlling costs and finishing projects on schedule and within budget. Lake Superior Contracting handles all aspects of the contracting and construction process for LaSalle including estimating, bidding, subcontracts, scheduling, consultant coordination, project management and maintaining the financial position of each project. In addition, Lake Superior evaluates and selects construction-related technology and software systems, develops safety policies and best practices, and oversees the supervision of field personnel.

In 2006, with a proven track record in the industry, Lake Superior Contracting began offering professional contracting and construction services to outside clients within their served markets, who seek the same high quality construction, attention to detail and business integrity as LaSalle does from a general contractor and construction company.
