John Peterson
Corporate Treasurer / Corporate Controller
John establishes and maintains financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems for The LaSalle Group, ensuring they conform to GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles). He interacts closely with other members of the executive team on routine and special projects, providing data for investment opportunities and lender arrangements, helping create pro forma financial statements, and more.
His career in accounting spans over 14 years of corporate experience, and includes proven supervisory and managerial expertise. Prior to joining The LaSalle Group, John performed asset management and was assistant controller in real estate accounting at JPI Management Services. In addition to hiring, training and supervising managers and accountants, he developed accounting procedures for third party owners, prepared ongoing feedback performance, coordinated marketing efforts for the disposition of properties and land, and oversaw acquisition rehab efforts. Before JPI, John was an accounting supervisor at Ernst and Young, LLP for 9 years.
John earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Texas A&M University. He is active in his community and his church.
