Kay is responsible for identifying sites for future Autumn Leaves residences in the Chicago area, helping obtain necessary approvals from state and local agencies, and overseeing construction projects through to completion as an owner’s representative. The process includes reviewing market research and demographic analyses, finding available property in appropriate locations, coordinating with municipalities on zoning and approvals, and then working closely with Lake Superior Contracting and The LaSalle Group’s corporate design team through construction and finish-out.
After completing an executive internship at Target Corporation and serving as a recreation services manager at Northern Illinois University, Kay joined The LaSalle Group as a development associate in 2007. In this position, she gained hands-on experience and a fundamental knowledge of the steps LaSalle follows to acquire land, obtain approvals, and construct new facilities. Demonstrating knowledge and skill, she was promoted to director of development, Illinois, in late 2007. Since then Kay has been instrumental in LaSalle’s continued expansion into Chicago-area markets.
Kay earned a bachelor of science in finance from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb, with a minor in textiles, apparel and merchandising.
