Mitchell WarrenMitchell Warren, president of The LaSalle Group, oversees the company’s Development, Construction (Lake Superior Contracting), Finance, and Asset Management (TLG Family Management) Divisions. Working with a seasoned executive team, he ensures smooth day-to-day operations and further cultivates their expertise as a group and as individuals. Mitchell also focuses on sustaining the stability of the company, identifying business expansion opportunities, and leading strategic development.

Founded in 1990 by Melvin W. “Win” Warren, Jr., The LaSalle Group has invested in and developed numerous residential and commercial real estate projects throughout the United States. Mitchell’s passion and appreciation for the family business began at an early age, and he became steadily involved in the company. During a college internship with The LaSalle Group, Mitchell gained valuable insight into corporate management, leadership, and strategic development, as the business plan changed to a focus on residential healthcare facilities.

After earning a degree from the University of Michigan, Mitchell joined The LaSalle Group as an owner’s representative on the construction side of the business. Working with outside general contracting firms, he ensured projects were delivered on time and on budget, and built to The LaSalle Group’s high standards of quality. In 2003 Mitchell was promoted to vice president of development. Responsibilities included market research and demographic analysis, land acquisition, financing, zoning, and legal, as well as selecting and hiring on-site property management personnel. During this time, LaSalle’s healthcare business grew three-fold with expansion in existing markets and entrance into new markets. Mitchell also brought the general contracting function in-house. Lake Superior Contracting, a wholly owned subsidiary of The LaSalle Group, was established to consistently deliver a product with unique functional design/build requirements, to provide the best care possible for residents suffering from Alzheimer’s and memory impairment. Mitchell was named president of The LaSalle Group in 2008. Dedicated to excellence in leadership, corporate governance and management, he integrates a family focus into every aspect of the company, with continued guidance from his father, Win, and other family members that make up the Board of Directors.

Mitchell earned a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Michigan. Throughout his life, he has embodied the attributes of a natural leader. In college, Mitchell served on the University of Michigan Engineering Council, was chairperson of the University Political Science Association, and organized many community and philanthropic events for both faculty and students. Today, he serves as a group leader, board member and special advisor to a variety of groups and committees. He is a member of the National Investment Council for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry (NIC), the Alzheimer’s Association, Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), and the Young President's Organization (YPO). Mitchell and his wife, Kelli, a teacher in the Irving, Texas school district, reside in Irving, Texas. They are active members of the community and in their church.

“I am dedicated and honored to continue the family tradition of this business and grow it at a smart pace while keeping the focus on our family of residents, employees, and other partners.” Mitchell Warren
