Autumn Leaves Breaks Ground on its First Memory Care Community in Amarillo, Texas

AMARILLO, Texas (June 9, 2015) – The LaSalle Group, a national leader in residential memory care, today broke ground on Autumn Leaves of Amarillo. The new community, located at 7480 Hillside Road, is slated to open in spring 2016.

“Autumn Leaves of Amarillo will provide the best quality of care for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory loss,” said Autumn Leaves Chief Operating Officer Joe Jasmon. “As we expand into Amarillo, our focus is on giving area families peace of mind, and providing a place where they know their loved ones feel at home.”

Located four miles from Northwest Texas Hospital, the 36,296-square-foot memory care community will bring more than 30 full-time jobs to the area and provide specialized care to 54 residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Situated on nearly three acres, the community will feature an innovative building design and cutting-edge technology to create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment. Autumn Leaves also offers a unique life engagement program to fulfill residents’ needs for artistic expression, physical activity, spiritual support, community connections, continuing education, and leisure.

Autumn Leaves of Amarillo also will offer free programs to the public including seminars, support groups, memory testing, and free respite care.

The La Salle Group has more than 40 communities in six states and plans to open an additional nine communities in 2015. The company is currently looking at other potential locations in Texas.
