Autumn Leaves Breaks Ground on its Second Florida Memory Care Community

VENICE, Florida (Oct. 8, 2015) – The LaSalle Group, a national leader in residential memory care, breaks ground on its second Florida location this month. Autumn Leaves of Venice, located at 2321 East Venice Avenue, is slated to open in late 2016.

Autumn Leaves will host an official groundbreaking event from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with the Venice Chamber of Commerce.

“Autumn Leaves of Venice will provide the best quality of care for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory loss,” said Executive Vice President of Real Estate John Barbee. “Our focus is on giving area families peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are in a place where they can feel at home.”

The 37,505-square-foot memory care community will bring approximately 40 full-time jobs to the area and provide specialized care to 54 residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Situated on approximately 3 acres, the community will feature an innovative building design and cutting-edge technology to create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment, while the life engagement program will fulfill residents’ needs for artistic expression, physical activity, spiritual support, community connections, continuing education, and leisure.

Autumn Leaves of Venice also will offer programs to the public including seminars, support groups, memory screenings, and respite care.

The LaSalle Group has more than 40 communities in seven states, and is currently looking at additional potential locations in Florida. Its other Florida community, currently under construction in Estero, is expected to open in early 2016. For more information about the Autumn Leaves of Venice community, go to www.autumnleaves.com.
