South Austin location expected to open in late 2016
AUSTIN, Texas (Oct. 5, 2015) – The LaSalle Group, a national leader in residential memory care, breaks ground on its third Austin-area location this month. Autumn Leaves of South Austin, located at 5200 Davis Lane, is slated to open in late 2016.
Autumn Leaves will host an official groundbreaking event at the site from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, with the Austin Chamber of Commerce.
“Like our other communities in the area, Autumn Leaves of South Austin will provide the best quality of care for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory loss,” said Autumn Leaves Executive Vice President of Management Chris Rio. “Our communities combine the latest in design, technology, and caregiving practices that offer our residents a fulfilling lifestyle and their families peace of mind.”
The 36,296-square-foot memory care community will bring approximately 37 full-time jobs to the area and provide specialized care to 54 residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Situated on approximately 3 acres, the community will feature an innovative building design and cutting-edge technology to create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment, while the life engagement program will fulfill residents’ needs for artistic expression, physical activity, spiritual support, community connections, continuing education, and leisure.
Autumn Leaves of South Austin also will offer educational programs to the public including seminars, support groups, memory testing, and respite care.
The LaSalle Group has more than 40 communities in seven states and will add two more communities, including a second San Antonio location, before the end of the year. The company is currently looking at other potential locations in Texas. For more information about the Autumn Leaves of South Austin community, go to www.autumnleaves.com.
