GURNEE, IL (Oct. 20, 2015) – The LaSalle Group, a national leader in residential memory care, opens Autumn Leaves of Gurnee this month at 505 N. Hunt Club Road. The new location is the company’s 11th community in the Chicago area.
Autumn Leaves of Gurnee will host a grand opening celebration from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, with Village of Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik, Gurnee Chamber of Commerce, and Lake County Chamber of Commerce. The event is open to the public and will feature live entertainment, appetizers, and tours of the community.
The 30,312-square-foot memory care community brings approximately 35 full-time jobs to the area and provides specialized care to 46 residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Situated on nearly 12 acres and located less than four miles from Lake Forest Hospital, the community features an innovative building design and cutting-edge technology to create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment, while the life engagement program fulfills residents’ need for artistic expression, physical activity, spiritual support, community connections, continuing education, and leisure.
“At Autumn Leaves, our philosophy is that there is more life to live for our residents,” said Jerri Beers, Autumn Leaves of Gurnee’s executive director. “With this new community, we offer the best design, technology, and caregiving practices to make a positive difference for Gurnee-area families and their loved ones who are living with dementia.”
Autumn Leaves also will offer educational programs to the public including seminars, support groups, memory testing, and respite care.
